Understand Yourself. Understand Other People.
A practical four-hour DISC workshop that will change the way you communicate, lead, work with people, and handle the personalities that make you wonder, “Why do they do it that way?”
Four hours. $45. One skill you’ll use every day.
You don’t need everyone to think like you. You need to understand how they think.
Once you understand what drives different behavioral styles, a lot of everyday friction stops being mysterious. You start seeing what people need from you — and what you may be doing that makes it harder for them to hear you.
Same conversation. Four completely different reactions.
DISC gives you a practical language for recognizing those differences and communicating in a way that actually lands.
Dominance
Fast, direct, decisive, results-focused. Often wants the bottom line and room to move.
“What’s the point?”Influence
Expressive, optimistic, social, persuasive. Often thinks out loud and feeds off interaction.
“Who’s involved?”Steadiness
Patient, dependable, supportive, consistent. Often values trust, stability, and time to process change.
“How will this affect people?”Conscientiousness
Analytical, careful, structured, quality-focused. Often wants the facts, standards, and details right.
“How do we know?”This is not four hours of personality-test theory.
We’ll use DISC as a practical tool for the conversations and relationships you deal with every day.
- ✓Understand your own behavioral styleSee your natural tendencies, strengths, blind spots, and what other people may experience when working with you.
- ✓Recognize other people fasterLearn the clues that help you identify what someone likely needs from you in a conversation.
- ✓Communicate so people can actually hear youAdjust the message, pace, detail, and tone without becoming fake or changing who you are.
- ✓Handle conflict and pressure betterUnderstand why styles react differently when stress goes up — and what tends to make each one worse.
- ✓Lead different people differentlyWhat motivates one person can shut another person down. Learn how to flex your approach.
- ✓Use it outside of work, tooThe same principles apply to customers, coworkers, spouses, kids, friends, and almost every relationship you have.
“Oh. They’re not trying to be difficult. They’re just wired completely differently than I am.”
That realization changes conversations. Instead of assuming intent, you start understanding behavior — and you have a much better chance of getting to a productive outcome.
You’ll see DISC everywhere after this class.
The value is not knowing four letters. The value is recognizing what is happening in real time and knowing what to do with it.
Lead people the way they need to be led.
Give direction, feedback, recognition, and accountability in a way that fits the person in front of you.
Reduce unnecessary friction.
Understand why one person wants speed, another wants certainty, and another needs everyone aligned first.
Stop losing the message in the delivery.
Learn when to get to the point, when to slow down, when to add detail, and when to build connection first.
Read the room faster.
Recognize what matters to the person across from you and make conversations easier, clearer, and more productive.
Know what happens under pressure.
Different styles push, talk, withdraw, or analyze. Knowing the pattern changes how you respond.
Take it home with you.
DISC works anywhere humans are involved — which means you will probably use it before the night is over.
Come spend one evening understanding people better.
Bring yourself. Bring a coworker. Bring your leadership team. This is useful for anyone who has to communicate with another human being.

Bringing a team? Even better. DISC becomes more useful when coworkers learn the language together and can use it after the class.

Do I need to be a manager or business owner?
No. The class is useful for owners, leaders, employees, couples, family members, and anyone who wants to communicate and work with people better.
Can I bring my team?
Absolutely. In many ways, that is the best way to attend. When a group learns the same DISC language together, they can keep using it long after the class ends.
Is this only about work?
No. We will use plenty of workplace examples, but the behavioral principles apply to everyday relationships as well.
Where is the class?
The workshop will be held at the Dassel History Center in Dassel, Minnesota.
